Ahhh Winter! I'm not one for the never-ending gray skies and dreary rainy days, but I do enjoy the cool break - and the low temps & wet ground provide me with the excuse that I don't need to weed my flower beds. :-)
Most of the time the cold doesn't bother me, as long as I have ways to stay warm. One of my favorite things about winter time is to grab a good book, a cup of my favorite tea and snuggle up in a cozy blanket in the overstuffed chair in our living room. The dogs, even with their long coats, enjoy the cozy warmth too. It can be upwards of 75 degrees in the house and they will be huddled close together directly in front of the hearth. Silly dogs!

First Major!!
Yesterday was pretty awesome - actually, this past weekend was pretty awesome! My little man, Evan (Kenset's Never A Dull Moment), went Winners Dog and Best of Winners under judge Valerie Gervais for a 3 point major at the Southern Oregon shows!! He was handled beautifully by Shannalee Michalsky - I couldn't be more pleased! On Thursday, judge Pat Hastings, gave Evan a major RWD and also gave Dakota (Sirio Show Off At Kenset)a major RWB - that's the first Reserve I've put on Dakota - she's such a fun girl!
And, I had such a great time with all the sheltie folks - wonderful people and great fun! There are some beautiful puppies in the pipeline too; it'll be fun to see them in the show ring this spring/summer. :-)

Autumn Bliss
I love Fall! There's just something about the way it makes me feel - it's refreshing and rejuvenating. God created such beauty in this season! The crisp, cool mornings, the brilliant colors of reds, yellows & oranges He painted in the trees, and the promise that winter is coming and I've been blessed to have a nice, warm home to be cozy in. To me, Fall symbolizes a change of pace. Summers for us are crazy-busy & fun, and Fall often comes as a relief from the busy-ness – a time to slow down, enjoy things and reflect a little.
The dogs seem to appreciate the change too. They are more energetic and more comfortable this time of year. Less panting, more playing - and an added benefit for those who show (particularly long haired breeds) - the growth of a new coat! :-)

New Things....
I've never written a blog before...definitely a new experience. I've often enjoyed reading others' blog posts and have found it interesting to catch a glimpse into someone else's life. These "snapshots" have brought many smiles to my face as I share in their joy and sentiments. I hope mine will bring the same joy to others....
